Somewhere between nature and technology
I recently found a new obsession. In my lack of a specific medium, or a specific space, I found myself once again exploring a different side of myself: My impatient explorative side.
One morning while rotting in the boredom of my loneliness, I turned my head to the side of my “office” and realised I had been sitting next to a great creative tool and had completely ignored its potential for the past 4 months. I was almost angry at myself for not having realised that sooner. THE SCANNER.
Immediately I run around looking for objects or colors or textures. Being that where I live it recently started to blossom all around, I thought I might use the seasonal opportunity.
Scanning is fast, its experimental, and intuitive, its highly techonological in how quick you can create so many different versions, I found it funny to catch such a slow once a year moment, of a flower that blossoms, in such a quick iterative way.
I quickly became obsessed, and as soon as I arrived to work every morning, I scanned new flowers, I still do. I talk about it with everyone I meet, I post about it, I even blog about it now. So I was told I fell ill of Scanimania, a very very dangerous disease.
